Born Eldon Houston on May 16, 1988, in Jackson Town, Trelawny, Macardi is no stranger to music. He was introduced to music by his mentor and older brother’s involvement in the music industry, at a very tender age. At school, Macardi always found himself beating his hands on his desk, and deejaying lyrics from some of his favourite artists. His chosen style of music includes, but is not limited to reggae & dancehall.

At the age of nine, Macardi wrote his first tune which was stunningly lyrical for someone so young. Always burning with lyrics, Macardi showed that even at a very young and tender age, he was lyrically ahead of his time. After leaving basic school to attend an all ages school he entered many talent contests and won them all; Macardi has continued to write numerous songs from that point on. Macardi continues to be a fountain of spontaneous yet creative and providing cutting edge lyrics.

After reaching high school, Macardi took his talent more seriously. This talented writer and performer continues to reach higher heights with his musical talent today. Among his many accolades, Macardi entered and won a Talent Search contest in Jamaica in 2004 and he currently has 2 hit singles playing in popular rotation on the radio: “Make Some Money” and “Come on Girl”.

Currently signed with Jobes Hill records Label and with his debut Album set to be released by the Fall of 2009, Macardi is working diligently to set himself apart from other artists.

Macardi was raised by his mother and older brother, who became his greatest influence in starting his musical journey. Other influences stem from the likes of Buju Banton, Shabba Ranks and Bounty Killa just to name a few. Even with all this talent he is a very humble and down to earth individual who defers to continually live the simple life.
